Director of International Programs in Vancouver, WA

Director of International Programs Clark College is currently accepting applications for a Director of International Programs position. This is a full time administrative position reporting to the Vice President of Student Affairs and is responsible to provide leadership and direction by assuring that all programs, functions and services are compliant with state and federal regulatory bodies; efficiently run; student centered and responsive to changing international markets, recruitment and retention strategies, and technology. The position provides oversight to the International Programs department which includes international student admissions, recruitment, advising, and study abroad. Position assignments and Duties Oversee, lead and direct all functions of the Office of International Programs related to admissions, recruitment, marketing, study abroad, support services for international students and international initiatives Establish and implement international recruitment, marketing and admissions policies and procedures Provide supervision of exempt, classified and student employees Ensure appropriate departmental budget planning and management of resources Develop & manage relationships with overseas institutions, study abroad organizations, international student alumni and agents for international student recruitment Provide leadership to and serve as chair of the International Education Committee Promote international perspectives throughout the curriculum and co-curricular initiatives designed to foster cross-cultural training and integration Identify and prepare grant funding proposals for international initiatives Participate in Student Affairs leadership teams Other related duties as assigned Serve as chair or member of designated College committees, councils and teams Provide leadership in accordance with the Mission and Vision established by the College, furthering Core Themes and College Objectives Ensure areas of responsibility operate effectively within the policies and procedures of the college and applicable governing agencies Develop and implement policies and procedures for operating unit(s) Train, supervise and evaluate employees in accordance with negotiated agreements, applicable state and federal laws and College policies and procedures Exercise effective stewardship over college resources Prepare reports and analytical materials to illustrate objectives, activities, and accomplishments of areas of responsibility Create a safe, bias-free workplace atmosphere, which engenders respect for differences Work to achieve the core theme of fostering a diverse college community as established by the College Engage in and promote shared governance Common Duties Established by the College Min Requirements Master?s degree in related position of study Three Years? work history in postsecondary education with direct experience in 1 or more of the international program areas Progressive levels of budget management and supervisory responsibility Current understanding of international recruitment and marketing, international admissions, study abroad and federal regulatory compliance related to immigration and SEVIS Min Requirements - continued Experience with establishing and maintaining international partnerships Knowledge and understanding of international environments and cultures Proven expertise to effectively lead and set direction Excellent oral and writing skills Excellent analytical and organization skills Must have the expertise and willingness to travel internationally for extended periods of time Preferred Requirements Community College track record Experience living, working and/or studying abroad Bilingual skills Salary Statement $58,000 ? 64,000 annual salary Benefits include vacation/ sick leave; medical, dental, life and long term disability insurance; retirement; and tuition waiver.
